The IB Diploma Program is a pre-university course and it aims to prepare students to access and perform well at the best universities around the world. It is widely considered to be the most favoured program by universities because of its academic rigor, objective assessment and focus on critical thinking skills.

Creativity Action Service (CAS)
Mr Paraic Loftus is the CAS Coordinator.
Students need balance in their lives and SIS-KG, the IBO and university applications officers all recognise that. Real life experiences solidify learning, give students something authentic to write about and prepare them for opportunities in university and careers after schooling. SIS-KG provides many opportunities for students to be creative, be active and serve others. We offer a large variety of co-curricular activities from 2:45pm - 4pm every day as well as sporting teams on weekends, included our SIS United and SISKG teams which compete in the Jakarta Schools Football Association (JSFA) "Coca Cola" league for international schools, the Greenfields Cup. Every year, the SIS Olympics brings together athletes from all 8 SIS schools around Indonesia. SIS Kelapa Gading has been the champion school for each of the last 5 years and has the most wins in our annual Governor's Cup Futsal tounament.
Singapore School Kelapa Gading provides opportunity for students to be involved in the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, INTERACT from Rotary, Young Achievers as well as engage with students from other international schools in Indonesia in a variety of competitions and events.
University Applications
Mr Jared Baragar is the JC Writing and Research and Extended Essay Coordinator as well as the Careers and University Applications Advisor. In addition, all our JC students have access to the univariety college admissions and university information system, which can provide direct access to university scholarship offers. This service and our careers advisors are completly independent of any university group or agent and so can offer truly objective advice.
Students who perform well in High Level subjects, may be able to receive subject credits for related subjects in their first year at US universities. This is because those subjects are considered equivalent to first year university standard in the US.
At SIS-KG, we support students and their parents from the beginning of Junior College in selecting the best university and courses to meet their personal goals and we will walk them through the application process and provide top quality supporting documentation from our school.
